Delete your Dimdown account

This page explains how to delete your account in the Dimdown app (iOS and Android) and the data stored in it. Developer: Karl Steinmetz (imprint).

An account is optional. If you never signed in, we hold no account data about you, and everything stays on your phone.

How to delete your account

• In the app: open Dimdown › Settings › Account › Delete account and confirm. The deletion is immediate.
• Without the app: email support@dimdown.app from the email address of your account (shown in Settings › Account; with Sign in with Apple this may be a private relay address) with the subject "Delete my Dimdown account". If you can't send from that address, tell us which address and sign-in (Apple or Google) you used. We delete your account within 30 days and confirm by email.

What gets deleted

Your account (email address, user ID, sign-in provider) and every copy of your data stored in it: settings, schedule, weekly goal and, if you turned on check-in sync, your check-ins, notes and other synced records.

What isn't deleted

• Data on your phone stays until you delete it there (Settings › Your data › Delete all data) or remove the app.
• Your subscription is managed by the App Store or Google Play and is not cancelled when you delete your account. Cancel it there.
• Purchase records may be kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat (our subscription service) under their own policies and as required by law.
• Technical logs at our EU hosting provider are deleted automatically after a short time. Your deletion email is kept only as long as needed to handle it or as required by law.
